Girls' Day

Our sweet little Mikaela pooh has been wanting to have a "girls' day" for a few weeks now. We've had the opportunity to have a couple of other girls' days, but what she's really been wanting is to get to have her fingernails painted--and she wanted to go to the "haircut place" to do it b/c that's where Mommy went a couple of months ago :) So today, we had Daddycakes take little man with him on his errands, and we had a few hours with just us girls.

First, we went to eat at the donut place, and when we came home it was time for Kerith's nap. So I had her soak her feet in the sink with some soap and lotioned her all up and cut her finger and toenails. She personally could have skipped all this--she just wanted to get to the polishing part. So she kept asking if that's what they did to me at the "haircut place." :) We finally got to the polish, and she was oh so anxious to get to touch her nails! I have a feeling she's going to be asking for many more of these days :)

Easter Pics 2010

We had about 5-10 mins Easter Sunday for me to capture some pictures before we had to leave. I was really wanting to get a family pic, but things just didn't work out :( We spent most of the week going through this to learn about Holy Week, and we got to read through this book. Both were great b/c we actually read about Holy Week directly from the Bible (yes, some days were a little long for young children, so we stuck to the Matthew passages since the book used the Luke passages :) ), and the book has great pics to help them visualize what Christ went through for us and that on Sunday we'd be celebrating His resurrection.

Happy First Birthday!

Well, our sweet little lovey turned 1 a little over 2 weeks ago! She's an avid crawler and is pulling up on pretty much everything now. Maybe she'll be walking by the time her newest little sibling arrives :) She's so cute and squishy right now, and Mikaela loves her to death (sometimes almost literally :) ). She's a great sleeper at night for us, which is always awesome--maybe she can give her big brother some pointers for us :) We're so blessed to have her in our lives and wouldn't know what to do without her!

Recent Visitors

Three weeks ago, we had some visitors. First, we had Aunt Kelli, Uncle David and Brayden come stay a night with us. This was our first time to get to meet Brayden, so we were very excited for them to get here. We had fun playing with Brayden, especially Mikaela. Our visit wasn't quite long enough, but hopefully we'll get to see them again soon!

Then on Sunday, Granddaddy and Grandma F came to visit and to celebrate KL's upcoming b-day. We got to go eat, color and take a couple of pics :)
